With its Wattpilot, Fronius offers an affordable and compact wallbox that is able to charge excess PV power from your solar system into your car. One of the great features is the option of automatic phase switching, which is also supported by us.
The Wattpilot is connected to our app via OCPP.
Preparation
To connect the Wattpilot with us, it is necessary to activate the OCPP backend of the wallbox.
Before starting the setup, you must connect your wallbox to the Internet via Wi-Fi and install the latest updates.
To set up the OCCP backend, access via the Solar.Wattpilot app is required. The OCPP connection has the advantage that the wallbox transmits the information to us. At the same time, it is still connected to the Fronius server and can also be controlled via the Solar.Wattpilot app.
Installation
1. add a new wallbox with us and select the Wattpilot.
2. when you create the wallbox with us, your individual OCPP URL will be displayed in the wallbox menu.
Copy the OCPP URL and store it in the Wattpilot.
3. open the Solar.wattpilot app and go to the [Internet] menu.
4. click on [OCPP].
5. enter the OCPP URL in [OCPP Server URL] and activate [Activate OCPP 1.6] using the toggle switch. Then press Save in the top right-hand corner to save.
π§If you are using the website for setup, you must adapt the URL. Replace ws:// with wss:// and add β/anyNameβ after the link. The URL must then have the following format: wss://cleverpv-ocpp.azurewebsites.net/ocpp/XXXXXX/anyName XXXXXX is a placeholder and is contained in your personal URL.
6. then switch back to our app, where the go-e Wallbox appears as an OCPP connector. Agree to the terms and conditions and click on [Save].
7. complete the setup.
In some circumstances, the wallbox may be displayed as offline after setup, wait briefly or perform a refresh to update the display.
Now you can control your wallbox automatically and charge your car with cheap solar power!
